DG Motocross Track Open

Exciting times – Derek Graham Dirt Bikes has opened an MX track in front of his premises, with a few limitations and still a bit of work to be done, but it is a great start to help building the MX fraternity.

“The idea behind the track is to encourage youngsters to be able to ride, and to help out the KZN Vintage MX (KZN VMX) club who need a home track that won’t break the very limited travel suspension”, says Derek Graham.

Little ones testing the track while Dads work tirelessly…

The VMX members have been working on the track over the last 3 weeks and it is now ready to ride – suggestions and improvements are welcome and encouraged.

“Because of the location and neighbours in the area, we have limited the track to children under the age of 13 and also limited the bike year to before 1999 – we are trying to keep the noise levels down and preserve the track condition. There other tracks nearby that cater for modern bikes, we don’t want to take business from them, we are trying to attract new riders wanting some a little less competitive”, said Derek.

A special thanks to the VMX KZN guys for their work and money in making this reality.
